About Hampton Luzak
A graduate of Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia, Hampton Luzak completed a six-month program on Shakespeare and general English literature at the University of London before earning her bachelor of arts in American studies in 1985. She subsequently found professional success in multiple fields, ranging from advertising to news reporting. Ms. Luzak’s work as a media professional included a number of positions with MSNBC, in which she provided live coverage from the U.S. Open and filed lifestyle stories for the network’s morning show, America’s Talking. Hampton Luzak also accomplished much in the entertainment industry as a casting director for independent films, including independent film awards which have included American Academy Award/Student Film Academy Award, AFI award for Best Short Film, awards in the Hampton's film festival, the Big Muddy Film Festival and the Portland Film Festival.
Hampton Luzak left the entertainment and media business when she became a mother, redirecting her creative energies into real estate and a series of historical restoration projects. She is also passionate about a number of philanthropic initiatives, such as the Joyful Heart Foundation, the Wilderness Society,Edible Schoolyard, National Urban Squash and Education Association and the ASPCA. |
